D01: ARRIVAL IN CAGLIARI
Cagliari has a unique own style that can be caught between the elegant medieval remains of the Castle, old streets of the town centre and the ships attracting to the harbor docks, while sailors give orders. Visit of the Museo Archeologico Nazionale and walk through the roads to get to the Castello. Free lunch time, dinner at a restaurant, overnight in Cagliari.

D02: NORA - SANT’ANTIOCO (Phoenicians and Romans)
Visit of the archeological area of Nora, west of Cagliari, that according to Sardinian history it is the most ancient city in Sardinia. Most of the visible structures dated from the imperial period, then we’ll get to island of Sant’Antioco with the ancient village Sulki than became one of the major Phoenician city in the Mediterrean Sea. Free lunch time and dinner in hotel.

D03: BARUMINI- THARROS
In 1997 Barumini was enlisted by UNESCO as the most important site in Sardinia. The remaining of Su Nuraxi are composed of a majestic royal palace and of a village with round houses. Visits to Borgo di San Salvatore di Sinis with its series of abandoned houses (cumbessias) and Tharros city. Overnight in Guspini.

D04: BARBAGIA AREA WITH THE GREEN TRAIN
At Mandas we will catch the 9am train called Trenino Verde (Green Train), mentioned nonetheless than by D.H.Lawrence while he was a tourist in Sardinia with his wife Frieda. The train travels across the river Flumendosa, the woods of Ogliastra and the mountain chains of Gennargentu Arrival at Gairo and bus to Ulassai for lunch. Continue to Arbatax with free time dinner. Overnight in Arbatrax.

D05: ARBATAX-OLBIA
Through the landscape of Ogliastra, elected in 2013 the most beautiful province of Italy, we will arrive to Dorgali, typical Sardinian village still full of local atmosphere. Visit to the nuragic village at the Serra Orrios and the giants tomb of Sa Ena’ and Thomes. In the afternoon, travel to Olbia. Free time for lunch in Dorgali, dinner in hotel. Overnight in Olbia.

D06: OLBIA-ALGHERO
Visit of Aggius, a peculiar village of houses made of stones where we will enjoy a typical lunch. In the afternoon, continuation our journey to Alghero. Along the way we will stop in the churches of Sant’Antioco di Bisarcio and Santa Trinità di Saccaragia to end with the most suggestive visit of the day: the Santissima Trinità of Saccaragia, a true architectural spectacle, made by craftsmen of Pisa in the twelfth century. Arrival by late night at Alghero. Overnight in Alghero.

D07: ALGHERO - VALLE DEI NURAGHI – BOSA - ALGHERO
Alghero is an amusing, typical small western coast Sardinian town on the sea. Think that the local dialect is catalan! Sweet transfer to the Nuraghi Valley, the necropolis “domus de janas” (house of the fairies) with its major monument: the Nuraghe Santu Antine. Arrival in Bosa for lunch and a walk in the streets of the city. Coast road trip to enjoy the sunset. Mild walking after dinner. Overnight in Alghero.

D08: ALGHERO - FAREWELL
The Spanish-Catalans heritage is extremely vivid and present in the city of Alghero. We will walk in the fascinating labyrinth of streets in the Alguer Vella, the old city through its squares. Visit to the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Carmine, the church of San Francesco and the ramparts.
Transfer to the airport of Alghero Fertilia for the flight.
